Boil water advisory lifted for Tornado and surrounding areas

CHARLESTON, W.VA., October 24, 2008 – West Virginia American Water has lifted a boil water advisory for customers in the Kanawha County community of Tornado and along Brown's Creek, Wood's Drive, Angel Fork Road, Falls Creek, Vorpe Road, Whitetail Lane, Coal River Road, Millenium Way and the Chestnut Point Subdivision.

The advisory was issued Thursday after a water main break caused a water service disruption.

Results of water quality testing have confirmed that water quality meets drinking water standards, and there is no further need to boil water prior to consumption. West Virginia American Water thanks its customers for their patience and cooperation during this event. Customers are encouraged to share this information with other West Virginia American Water customers in the affected area listed above.
