Boil water advisory lifted for west side of Charleston
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (Nov. 18, 2008) – West Virginia American Water has lifted a boil water advisory for customers on the west side of Charleston in Kanawha County. The affected areas stretched from Garrison Avenue to Greendale Drive.
The advisory was issued Sunday evening after a broken valve caused a water service disruption.
Results of water quality testing have confirmed that water quality meets drinking water standards, and there is no further need to boil water prior to consumption. West Virginia American Water thanks its customers for their patience and cooperation during this event. Customers are encouraged to share this information with other West Virginia American Water customers in the affected area listed above.
